Privacy PolicySodaTide Privacy Policy: What This Website Collects
This website does not take payments and does not hold card details.
Orders are placed on the seller's checkout, which handles payment data under its own policy. What this site holds is what you send to the editorial address: a name, an email address and a message, used to answer you and to correct a page.
What is collected here, what is collected at the checkout, and what to do if you want any of it removed.
What the SodaTide website collects
| Data | When | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name and email address | When you write to the editorial desk | To answer you and to credit a correction if you want it credited | Until the matter is closed, then deleted on request |
| The content of your message | When you write to the editorial desk | To understand and act on what you have reported | As above |
| Standard server log data | On every request | Security and diagnosing faults | Rotated by the host |
| Card details | Never on this website | Payments are taken on the seller's checkout | Not held here at all |
| Order records | Never on this website | Held by the order desk, which is why this site cannot see an order | Not held here at all |
The clearest fact on this page: this website cannot see your order, because it never held it.
What happens at the SodaTide checkout, which is not this site
The order link hands off to the seller's own checkout. That is where a name, an address, a card and an email address are entered, and it is the seller's privacy policy that governs them.
This matters practically rather than legally. It is why contact@Soddatide.com cannot look up an order, reissue tracking or start a refund — it is not a policy decision, it is that the data is not here. Anything attached to a purchase goes to +1 (302) 200-3480 or contact@customercs.com.
It also means a request to delete order data has to go to the order desk, because that is where the record lives. A request sent here can be forwarded but cannot be actioned.
Cookies and tracking on the SodaTide website
This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no cross-site tracking. What it loads from outside its own domain is a web font from Google Fonts, which is requested by the browser when a page renders.
Assets are served with a cache-busting stamp so a corrected stylesheet reaches a returning visitor. That stamp is a content hash rather than an identifier, and it is the same for everybody loading the same file.
If you would rather not load the font, a content blocker will stop it and every page will still render in a system typeface. Nothing on this site depends on JavaScript to be readable: the navigation, the tables and the text all work with scripting disabled.
Your choices about the data this SodaTide website holds
- Ask what is held. Write to the editorial address and you will get a straight answer, which for most people is a single email thread.
- Ask for it to be deleted. Correspondence is deleted on request once the matter it concerns is closed.
- Ask for a correction to be uncredited. A reader who reports an error is not named on the page unless they ask to be.
- Ask the order desk about order data. That record is not held here and a request has to go to the desk that holds it.
- Write to us about any of this at contact@Soddatide.com.
Soddatide is a retail desk at 461 Fifth Avenue, Floor 8, New York, NY 10017, USA. It is not the manufacturer of SodaTide and does not operate the checkout. This policy covers what this website does, and it is short because this website does very little.
