GuidesGuides To Metabolic And Digestive Supplements
Two long reads about this category, written with nothing to sell.
The first explains what a metabolic and digestive supplement can and cannot do, and what the fermentation evidence actually supports. The second is a practical method for comparing two labels, including the four numbers that decide whether a product can be compared with a trial at all.
Category reading rather than product pages. No brand is recommended in either of them.
The two guides
A guide to metabolic and digestive supplements
What this category is, why the gut became the place people look, what fermentable fibre and live bacteria do at researched doses, and the five things the evidence does not support. About twenty minutes.
How to choose between two labels
A method rather than a recommendation: the four numbers that matter, how to read a proprietary blend, what a seal does and does not tell you, and the arithmetic that turns a price into a cost per day. About fifteen minutes.
Why a retailer publishes guides with nothing to sell in them
Because a reader who can compare two labels properly is a better customer than one who cannot, and because the alternative is a site made entirely of pages about one product.
Both guides are written to be usable against any product in this category, including ones this desk does not sell. Neither of them recommends a brand. The second one, in particular, contains a method that would rate several competitors above the product this site sells on the disclosure criterion, and it is published in that form because a method that only ever favours the seller is not a method.
The blog covers narrower questions and is listed in the sitemap and in llms.txt rather than in the navigation, which is deliberate: it is reading, not a destination.
